2025 marks a momentous milestone for The Willows: our 50th year of nurturing and educating the children of our community. While much has evolved in our surroundings and within our school, the heart of The Willows remains steadfast, rooted in the core principles of Montessori education.
The Willows' Montessori School Story
Our journey began humbly in a garage, where our visionary founder, Win Pledger, established a playgroup for just six children. Her unwavering dedication and infectious enthusiasm propelled The Willows' growth into a thriving Montessori school. Win later passed the reins to her daughter, Claire, who further expanded our offerings, establishing the Fledgling, Toddler, Primary, and Learning Centre programs. Though Win is sadly no longer with us, her spirit and passion live on in the vibrant educational environment she created.
50 Years of Nurturing Growth
For half a century, it has been our privilege to provide a joyful and enriching learning experience, guided by our dedicated teaching staff. We’ve proudly witnessed our students become confident and successful adults, making meaningful contributions to their communities and chosen careers.
